Searching Through SEDI
Search types |
SEDI offers 3 types of searches:
If SEDI has found only one match, then it will display the matched record. If SEDI has found multiple matches it will list all matched records. |
Misspelled Words |
It is easy to enter search terms that produce too few relevant matches or even no matches at all. The most common reason for that is misspelling one or more of your search words. Because the search engine automatically places an AND between your search words (or because you only entered one word) a single typo can cause you to retrieve nothing. Please check your spelling carefully. Another reason for getting no results can be too many words in your query. Try leaving off some of your search words. For example: If TD Waterhouse Investor Services Inc. did not return good results, try searching again, this time leaving off Services Inc. |
Capitalization |
SEDI searches are not case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you key them in, will be read as lower case. This includes accents. For example: searches for "hélène smith", "Hélène Smith", and "HéLèNe SmItH" will all return the same results. |
