Using Online Help

About this Help System

In this Help system, you will find out about online help features and how to use them. These tips will help you get the most out of this Help system.

Help Content

  • The Getting Started section assists you with SEDI registration or the initial set up including creating a user profile, using password and access keys etc.
  • The How to file, How to Amend & How to View sections offer you specific business information you need to know when you are filing reports and offers help with functions such as amending and viewing reports.
  • The Glossary section provides brief explanation of topics as: “Ownership types”, “Nature codes”, “Transaction date” etc
  • The Support section provides you with general information to help you when you are experiencing difficulties with SEDI. It includes topics on technical issues, system requirements, printing a help topics, errors and warning lists etc

Tab

  • The Contents tab allows you to get an idea of the overall outline and organization of the Help system. You can browse through the Contents to find a Help topic or to see the relationship between topics.
  • The Index tab displays a multilevel list of keywords, arranged alphabetically.
  • The Search tab provides a full-text search of the Help system. This allows you to search every topic in the Help system for a particular keyword(s). It is different from the index because it will find all topics containing the actual keyword(s) the user is looking for.

Button Use for Online Help

Pressing the Hide Contents / Show Contents button located in the right-hand (topic) pane will allow you to show or hide the left navigation pane.
